Twitter #music app launched for Web and iPhone

Enhancing the features Twitter has now launched new service Twitter #music and the same will be available as app for iPhone through App store. Twitter wants to change the way people find music with the launch of this service. Twitter has announced the startup of service on its official blog.

Twitter #music is available for web users at https://music.twitter.com. The new service will help users find the popular music on twitter and also the bands you follow. Currently the songs come from three sources iTunes, Spotify and Rdio and out of these three default is iTunes. Twitter will continue to add other music service providers in future.

  • #NowPlaying: This will show the songs that have been tweeted by the artists and people you follow on Twitter.

  • Suggested Tab: It will show you the artist you might like based on the artists you follow on Twitter.

  • There is search option on top, from where you can find your favorite artists. Just go to their profile to look for what your favorite artists is following.

  • Also if you find some new songs that you want to share with your followers on Twitter then there is a option too. Just tap the spinning disc.

Twitter #music service has opened up the door to share, view and listen music among your followers and the ones you follow on Twitter. Already, musicians are turning to twitter to connect with their fans and now their music can also be shared amongst the fans.

Currently there are limitations to this service as it is available in countries, US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Twitter has assured that availability will be made to more countries soon. The Android based app is also missing as of now.
