Samsung Galaxy Smartphones gets support for 9 Indian languages

Growing popularity of Samsung Galaxy Smartphones in India, company has provided support for 9 different Indian languages. These languages are Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati. Initially the support for 9 languages have been rolled out for Samsung Galaxy Grand, Galaxy S4 and Tab 3 from August 13, 2013. Later this month Samsung will provide support for the budget friendly galaxy star smartphones. For providing support for 9 Indian languages Samsung has partnered with Reverie Language Technologies.

Regional language App support for Samsung Galaxy Devices

The Samsung app store will contain apps from different categories like entertainment, games, lifestyle, utility, business,etc in all 9 languages. Users can now enjoy even social networking and chat apps in these 9 languages. This means Facebook, Gmail, ChatOn will be available in 9 languages.

Other devices will get this support within next 2 months. Samsung has also announced that it will work with app developers and content providers to create more apps supporting these regional languages.

Support for various regional languages has made it clear that Samsung wants hold strong the Indian market for its Android based Galaxy devices.
