Lenovo launches Windows 8-based ThinkPad Tablet 2

Lenovo has unveiled its next generation tablet, ThinkPad Tablet 2. This tablet is based on the new platform by Microsoft, Windows 8. Lenovo released earlier also released ThinkPad Tablet, which was Android based. Now Lenovo gave its users to taste the flavor of new Windows version.

The ThinkPad Tablet 2 runs Windows 8 Professional OS.

  • Display: 10.1-inch display with 16:9 1,366×768-pixel resolution.
  • Storage Space: 64GB Flash Memory.
  • Network connectivity: 3G and 4G network connectivity.
  • Camera: 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera.
  • Other: USB 2.0 port, HDMI output, optional digitizer,  stylus pen, fingerprint reader, dockable keyboard, pre-loaded  Microsoft’s full Office Suite.

Pros and Cons of Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2

Pros:

  • Best look and sleek in windows 8 based tablets.
  • Presence of optional keyboard is added bonus.
  • Excellent battery.

Cons:

  • Lack of USB 3.0
  • Little expensive

The tablet is targeted for business users who require security-enhanced and manageability technologies.  Also to note that 4G models will be available initially in the USA via AT&T network only.
