Google Wallet is just like a virtual wallet in which you can store your credit card and debit card information. Now Google Wallet is integrated into Gmail. This feature was announced by Travis Green, Product Manager, Google Wallet on Google Commerce blog.
Now paying someone is very easy and you can send money with your email attachment. You can send money as attachment to your friends and family directly with gmail. Also, you can send the money to non-gmail users too.
The service offers free to send money to your friends if your bank account is linked with Google Wallet. If you are using credit or debit card to send money then a small amount as fees will be deducted. You can get the information regarding fees to send money in the Google Wallet Help page.
How to use Google Wallet in Gmail
- Open your gmail account.
- Click on the compose button.
- Now hover over the attachment clip. Here you will find a “$” icon.
- Click on the “$” icon to attach money to your email. Enter the desired amount you want to to send.
- Compose the message and click send button.
Currently this feature is available on desktop version only. Apart from gmail you can send money directly from Google Wallet online at wallet.google.com on mobile or desktop.
